The Most Beautiful Women of All Time

The Most Beautiful Women of All Time
List of the most beautiful women of all time: ranked not on talent or accomplishments, but on looks alone. This is a test to see if the so-called "wisdom of the crowd" will actually be able to determine who the most beautiful woman of all time is. If you'd like to rank these women on more than their beauty, consult The Best Actresses in Film History list. This list does not only include prettiest current actresses, but the most beautiful women in history.

So, who is the most beautiful woman ever? Of course, that woman may very well be a total unknown, but since it's impossible to list every woman who's ever existed, and one is less likely to rank people they don't know, this list will obviously be restricted to people who've achieved a fair level of celebrity. A "fair level of celebrity" is defined by being famous enough to have a profile page on Wikipedia or IMDB. Historical figures are accepted IF pictures of them are generally accepted as accurate. Add your own suggestions and this should hopefully be an ever expanding list.

A Most Wanted Man Movie Quotes
"A Most Wanted Man" movie quotes bring the thrills when a secret anti-terrorism unit in Germany uses a young man as bait to reel in a prime target. The espionage film was directed by Anton Corbjin using a screenplay Adrew Bovell adapted from a novel of the same namy by John le Carre. After premiering at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, "A Most Wanted Man" opened in theaters in the United States on July 25, 2014.

In "A Most Wanted Man," Günther Bachmann (Philip Seymour Hoffman) heads a secret anti-terrorism unit in Germany whose spies use small-target criminals to help capture big terrorist targets. In this instance, he nabs Issa Karpov (Grigoriy Dobrygin), who illegally immigrates from Russia, and, despite the disapproval from his human rights attorney Annabel Richter (Rachel McAdams), agrees to help Günther go after terrorist Dr. Faisal Abdullah (Homayoun Ershadi).

To nab Abdullah, Günther, Issa and Annabel must all work together, with some help with bank manager Tommy Brue (Willem Dafoe) and CIA agent Martha Sullivan (Robin Wright). They'll lay the tracks for their trap, using Issa and his incoming inheritance as the bait, but their window to grab Abdullah is a slim one, requiring the utmost precision in carrying out this plan.

"A Most Wanted Man" is just one of dozens of great summer 2014 movies like "Hercules," "Lucy," "Magic in the Moonlight," "Planes: Fire & Rescue," "Sex Tape," "Wish I Was Here, "And So It Goes, "Dawn of Planet of the Apes," "A Long Way Down," "Tammy," "Earth to Echo," "Deliver Us from Evil," "Transformers: Age of Extinction," "Snowpiercer," "Begin Again," "They Came Together," "Think Like a Man Too," "22 Jump Street, "How to Train Your Dragon 2," "Hellion," "The Rover," and The Fault in Our Stars."

Your Choice Is Between Us and Nobody
Günther Bachmann: "Your choice is between us and nobody. The clock is ticking. You know they'll find him and when they do, you'll be on the first plane back to Russia, unless the Americans want him, then we won't know where he is and nor will he."
Annabel Richter: "He doesn't want the money. He just doesn't want it."
Günther Bachmann: "Half radical, half rich kid, half Russian, half Chechen, loves his mother, hates his father. You and I both know, Issa Karpov has no idea what he wants."

Annabell is stuck between options, one of which being helping Günther in using Issa to catch Dr. Abdullah. He makes a pretty convincing case for being on his side.
Lawyer or a Social Worker for Terrorists?
Annabel Richter: "You can't do this. I'm a lawyer."
Günther Bachmann: "Lawyer or a social worker for terrorists? You've crossed the line. You're on their side now."

Günther tries to get attorney Annabel Richter to join his team and help him catch some terrorists. He makes it very simple: She's either working with him or with the terrorists.
I Need You
Issa Karpov: "I'm frightened, not you're spy. I can't do this anymore."
Günther Bachmann: "You're my ears and my eyes. I need you."

Issa, Günther's current small fish, does not feel he's up to the task of reeling in bigger fish Dr. Abdullah. Günther must keep him engaged if he wants to complete his mission and tries his best to keep Issa on their team.
You're Going to Help Me
Günther Bachmann: "We have a job to do. You're going to help me do it."

Günther knows he cannot catch Dr. Abdullah alone and seeks help from Tommy Brue, head of a bank holding money belonging to Issa. If they work together and play their cards right, the rewards of catching Abdullah will be very sweet.
Three Hours to Apprehend Abdullah
Martha Sullivan: "Dr. Abdullah moves money through a network of Muslim charities and every time he does, some of it goes missing."
Günther Bachmann: "He's moving the money to a shipping company."
Martha Sullivan: "The man is tolerant, engaged with the west, but every good many has a little bit of bad, doesn't he? And in Abdullah's case, that little bit might kill you."
Günther Bachmann: "We have three hours to apprehend Abdullah, make him ours."

CIA Agent Martha Sullivan briefs Günther on what she knows about Dr. Abdullah. They identify an opportunity to grab him but their window to do so is slim.
It's in Your Hands
Dieter Mohr: "If this kid lets off a bomb, it's in your hands."

Günther is constantly fighting against Dieter Mohr, Hamburg intelligence head, who is not keen on Günther's plans to use Issa to catch Dr. Abdullah. Dieter thinks not arresting Issa is a big risk, but that's one Günther is willing to take.
I'm Not Doing This for You
Tommy Brue: "I'm not doing this for you."

Günther Bachmann: "Most of us don't get to choose."
Tommy explains that he is reluctantly helping in catching Dr. Abdullah, but isn't doing it for Günther. Why ever Tommy is helping, Günther will take it.
What's Next?
Annabel Richter: "I give you Issa. Issa gives you Abdullah. What's next?"

Annabel questions Günther's motives and is not sure how far she wants to be involved with his plans. For Günther, however, there are no limits to how far he will go.
Make the World a Safer Place
Martha Sullivan: "Maybe you could define for us what the long term objective would be."

Günther Bachmann: "To make the world a safer place, isn't that enough?"
When asked to defend his actions, Günther makes it really simple. He wants to make the world a safer place, despite the collateral damage.
We're Spies
Günther Bachmann: "German Intelligence needs a job to be done that German law won't let it do. Our unit was set up to develop resources."
Erna Frey: "We're not policemen."
Günther Bachmann: "We're spies. Our sources don't come to us. We find them. When they're ours, we direct them at bigger targets. It takes a minnow to catch a barracuda, a barracuda to catch a shark."

Günther explains his job as the head of a secret anti-terrorism team in Germany. He reels in the small fish, then uses that fish to snag a bigger one.

The Worst U.S. Presidents

The Worst U.S. Presidents
The Worst U.S. Presidents of all time, measured by their negative impact on the nation, its citizens health and happiness, and its future prosperity. (In some cases – such as the popular selections of Warren G. Harding and Richard Nixon – the negative view of the president and his administration is due to various scandals and perceived corruption within its ranks. Nixon, of course, remains the only president to step down from the office amidst threats of impeachment.)

Much of a president's job – including serving as the figurative head of the American state and setting the nation's general legislative and diplomatic agenda – is sort of intangible and hard to evaluate in strict "good vs. bad" terms. This makes any list of the "best" or "worst" presidents essentially subjective, and though there were administrations with a significant series of positive or negative outcomes, it's rarely clear just how much these had to do with the person in office and how many were simply due to accidents of fate or circumstance. Nonetheless, in particularly extraordinary cases – such as the administration of Abraham Lincoln, which kept the nation intact during the Civil War crisis, or the administration of Andrew Johnson immediately after that threatened the entire success of the Reconstruction project – it is clear which presidents did an overall good or bad job.

Why is it that we love TV’s curmudgeons? They’re unhappy, they complain, they’re pessimistic, and they often try to make everyone around them miserable, too. The best TV grumps remain lovable, however, because they tap into our own grumpy sides; besides, their rantings and predictions of doom and gloom often have no effect on anyone else. The other characters in a TV show know that they’re dealing with a grouch, and carry on accordingly. In some cases, of course, the greatest grumps on TV really do make others’ lives miserable, but the curmudgeonly, grumpy character usually gets what’s coming to him or her in the end, which makes it okay.

The best grumps on television are usually funny, as well. Frank Costanza generally looks like he’s about to pop a blood vessel, but his ravings are hilarious. And underneath it all, many TV curmudgeons have a softer, warmer side. Who can blame a gentle-hearted person for putting up a mean front to protect their tender emotions? Viewers understand this about the best TV curmudgeons: They might seem mean, but they’re often concealing a caring personality -- and if they inspire a few laughs in the process, that’s all the better.

This list contains the grumps on TV that viewers have both loved and hated, laughed at or felt sorry for. Both female and male TV curmudgeons are included; after all, women can be just as crabby as men. The list also makes no age distinction -- the best TV grouches are both young and old.
