Brazil
Being the most accomplished team in FIFA World Cup history and being on home turf cannot hurt their chances. Also players like Neymar and a recent slashing of Spain make them even more of a contender for glory.
England
A dark horse who is capable of doing well if all of their players are on form, England will be looking to make up for their departure in the round of 16 from 2010.
Germany
They have the highest podium count of any team in international play and have been the most consistently good team in the last decade. Add to that a very deep team that plays very well together and you have a very good contending team.
Ghana
We all know who should have won the quarter finals vs Uruguay... hand ball on the penalty line... anyways.... They have something to prove and I wouldn't be surprised if they make it far in the 2014 World Cup
Italy
With the recent victory in 2006 and a good showing at 2012 Euro, Italy could walk away with the show and are looking to be back on top.
Netherlands
They came so close 3 years ago and have a solid, deep talent pool. They have the most to prove I think at this world cup. There may be a new country walking away with a star above their insignia once the dust settles.
