"Million Dollar Arm" movie quotes tell the true story of one sports agent who molds some unlikely Indian cricket players into Major League Baseball stars. The sports drama was written by Tom McCarthy and directed by Craig Gillespie. Distributed by Disney, "Million Dollar Arm" opened in theaters on May 16, 2014.
In "Million Dollar Arm," J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) is an American sports agent who, along with business partner Ash Vasudevan (Aasif Mandvi), is struggling terribly. With limited prospects, J.B. is forced to think outside the box if he wants to stay in business. So when he's watching cricket on television one late night, he gets an idea. He, along with baseball scout Ray Poitevint (Alan Arkin), will head to India, find a great cricket player and groom him into a star baseball player, all in reality television show style. The unlikely show, titled "Million Dollar Arm," is born.
J.B. finds two potential MLB pitchers, Dinesh Patel (Madhur Mittal) and Rinku Singh (Suraj Sharma), and brings them to Los Angeles. Despite their potential, however, they don't know the first thing about baseball. In order to get them into the MLB and out of the so-called sideshow they are playing in during the process, they will need a lot of practice, patience and even some familial love.
"Million Dollar Arm" is sure to drive in the viewers but it will have to complete with other films such as "Godzilla," "Palo Alto," "Chef," "Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return Movie Quotes," "Neighbors," "Moms' Night Out," "Devil's Knot," "Belle," "Walk of Shame," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," "Locke," "Brick Mansions," "The Other Woman," "Transcendence," "A Haunted House 2," "Heaven is for Real," and "Draft Day"

It's Just Business
J.B. Bernstein: "What's going on here? Don't tell me you signed a contract with these guys."
Popo: "It's just business."
…
Ash Vasudevan: "Guess what? We're out of money! I mean, I don't know what else to do, J.B."
J.B. Bernstein is upset when he learns that one of his clients signed with someone else. Added with other not great things in his business, they are in bad shape.
You Got a Major League Tryout
J.B. Bernstein: "You got a major league tryout."
Suraj Sharma: "Are you messing with us?"
J.B. Bernstein: "No, I'm not messing with you. You got a tryout."

They Need to See That You Care
Brenda Fenwick: "Are you okay?"
J.B. Bernstein: "These kids, they're my last, best shot."
Brenda Fenwick: "But they're also just a couple of great kids. Kids, I mean, they're far from home. They need to see that you care."
J.B. vents to his neighbor about the struggles that he faces with these kids. She reminds them that they are out of their element and suggests connecting with them like they were family.
Don't Be a Sideshow
Pete: "This is baseball, not some social experiment."
…
Tom House: "They're not ready for this kind of pressure."
J.B. Bernstein: "This is business."
Tom House: "Taking them out of their comfort zone, putting them in front of a media circus. It will be a sideshow. Don't be a sideshow."
J.B. Bernstein receives a lot of criticism for what he is doing with these kids from India. Few think that these kids can succeed and blame J.B. for turning them into a media spectacle.
Baseball Is Very Hard
Brenda Fenwick: "Okay, so how's it going?"
Dinesh Patel: "Baseball is very hard."

I Can Hear It
J.B. Bernstein: "Ray, how are you going to know if anyone can throw if you keep your eyes shut all day?"
Ray Poitevint: "I can hear it."
J.B. Bernstein: "Really?" [gets hit by a ball]
Ray Poitevint: "That was about a 43."
At an open tryout in India, J.B. Bernstein and scout Ray Poitevint evaluate talent. But Ray isn't watching, rather listening for someone worth their time.
The First Major League Baseball Player from India
J.B. Bernstein: "It's called Million Dollar Arm, the first major league baseball player from India."

J.B. Bernstein: "My name is J.B. Bernstein. I'm a sports agent. Right now I'm on the verge of a huge break."
Lead character J.B. Bernstein gives a very brief overview of the film. To be straight and to the point, he's a sports agent hoping (and quite desperate) to find something big.
We Can't Train Someone
Ash Vasudevan: "We can't train someone who has never picked up a baseball! It's insane!"
Ash, J.B.'s business partner, is not convinced that this whole find the next great baseball player in India plan is going to work. Their best prospect needs a lot of training and that's not a luxury they can afford.
