A list of the best bands to check out at Coachella. This list features all the artists and bands confirmed to perform at Coachella in April 2014. Since its inception in 1999, you couldn't think about an American music festival without taking Lollapalooza into account. This year's edition features another strong lineup of must-see bands, both old and new. The newly reformed Outkast, Muse and festival alumni Arcade Fire may be the headlining bands, but Coachella has one of the deepest lineups of the festival season. Recently reformed bands like the Replacements will also be descending on the Empire Polo Fields for the three-day, two-weekend festival.
This could be your chance to see up-and-comers like Lorde, Lana Del Ray, Haim, the 1975 and Bastille. Hip-hop is well represented with Nas, Kid Cudi, Chance the Rapper and the incomparable Pharrell Williams. If you want to shake your hips a bit, there are plenty of dance options, including Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Zedd and the legendary Fatboy Slim.
This isn't a list that will necessarily judge the actual performances because, let's face it, we know Queens of the Stone Age and Beck are going to deliver with great sets. But would you rather see them on the main stage in front of tens of thousands or an early day act on a small stage in front of tens of people? This is your chance to vote on what band you're most excited to see at this year's Coachella.
