Tuggerah Beach - the Entrance
This beach at least coversa stretch of six kilometres. It is a quite long beach located on the centralcoast. You cannot see this beach just as you enter The Entrance. The beach iscovered by Wyrrabalong National Park and its bush tracks. That has addedadvantage for the beach. Like the Patrolled Beach, Tuggerah beach is not thatmuch patrolled. And most interestingly the most you can see here are none otherthan the local fishermen.
You need to have aprivate vehicle to enter here, as there is no other transport available. Luckily,there is a huge parking space. The only problem is that it will be difficult tofind access roads. You can find quite a lot of accommodation which includes cabin/caravanparks, motels, resorts, apartments and bed and breakfasts located close by. Oryou can simply choose any The Entrance resort such as Oaks WaterfrontResort.
The Patrolled Beach
The patrolled beach isbusy right throughout the year. An aquatic playground, the beach is naturallysurrounded by neighbouring attractions. The beach is safe for sea baths. Itfeatures a coastal boardwalk, children's playground and park, undercover BBQsand picnic tables. Other attractions include Vera's Watergarden, shops, cafesand restaurants, weekend markets and live entertainment.
Boat services are alsoavailable along with catamarans, sailboards, canoes, surf skis, pedal boats andaqua bikes. You can also see how the incoming visitors feed the pelicans inMemorial Park. The beach is patrolled everyday from October to the end ofApril.
The Entrance Coast to Lake Walk - the Entrance
You need to be on yourown as you walk The Entrance Coast to Lake Scenic Walk. This path lets you seevarious attractions, landmarks and many facilities around The Entrance. Beready to cover a range of about 7.6 kilometres.
If you have a fast pace,completing the track within one and half hours is no big deal. You are stilllucky even if you choose to walk slow, as you will get to see beaches, cafesand galleries. And remember to have a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle readybefore setting off.
Wyrrabalong National Park
This park marks thenorthern side of The Entrance. If you would love a swim at this area, you donot have to worry about anything. Not only swimming, but you can also go forwhale watching, fishing, surfing, bushwalking and bird-watching. Added to this,ocean front restaurants and outdoor dining venues are also in close proximityto Wyrrabalong National Park. If you look for an alternative accommodation,this park is surrounded by cabin parks, holiday houses, motels and a limitednumber of apartments. If you travel by train, you need to get down at Wyongtrain station.
