Spinks won the titles on a split decision, then was stripped of a title for refusing to face Kenny Norton. What champion refuses to face someone? He later lost the other two in his only defense against the aged Muhammad.
Michael Moorer
Michael Moorer found himself the champion after a decision over Evander Holyfield, but was knocked out by a returning George Foreman one fight later. His career never recovered.

Roy Jones was an accomplished middleweight and light heavyweight, but his heavyweight title win was less than impressive. He defeated John Ruiz for the title, but never made a single defense.
