Deadpool, the "Merc with the Mouth," is a fan favorite character who was... well let's just say mishandled to keep things civil in that awful X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. Luckily for us, everyone at Fox seems to agree that most of that movie won't really be affecting the X-Universe they've created, so we have another chance at seeing everyone's favorite assassin.
Ryan Reynolds did a stand-up job whenever he had the chance (or had a mouth) but the writing and well, every single choice beyond casting they made WAS NOT Deadpool. He's been off and on the project for a solo Deadpool film ever since (seemingly more on, but we worry it's been a long time). So, we here at Ranker Comics have decided to cast our own Deadpool, just in case, for whatever iteration of the Merc we get next.
Which actor can pull off the physicality, the humor, the self aware sensibilities (to a level not seen before on screen), and the general awesome that is Deadpool?
For other Characters that deserve some time on the silver screen check out this list and cast your votes for who you think should play Deadpool below.

Charlie Day
Can you imagine his iconic, shrill, excitable voice coming out of Deadpool?! It would be amazing. Definite body double required, though.
Donald Glover
This guy could TOTALLY nail the tone, and he's a brilliant writer so we wouldn't worry as much about Deadpool's snark and ad-libs. Put Glover in a gym for a couple of months and he'd be perfect. Plus, he's not associated with any known property or franchise.
Jason Lee
With Lee, it might be best to use his voice, that humor, and that snark... but a different actor's body.
Jason Sudeikis
He has the potential body type, with a trainer, and certainly has the voice and the humor. We would totally buy into Sudeikis's Wade Wilson.
Nolan North
A noted voice actor (think the Uncharted games), he could totally handle the vocal duties with another actor handling the physicallity. And guess what? He voiced Deadpool in a number of other projects already.
Ryan Reynolds
He's perfect! The physicality, the humor, the build. Give Reynolds another chance!
Sam Rockwell
Any time they let Sam Rockwell run free with some comedy on set, Deadpool seems to manifest anyway. The voice, the style of humor, and the dancing? Sold.
Seann William Scott
He's a little on the soft side nowadays, but with a solid workout regime... or go the "use just his voice" route.
Dave Franco
Iconic Voice? Check.
Young enough? Check.
Can play Snarky, Smug? Check.
After a few months of training with Hugh Jackman, you've got yourself a Deadpool.
Chevy Chase from the 80s
If only. Someone alert us when time travel finally gets invented!
