60+ Celebrities Who Practice Meditation
Meditation is a practice that encourages the mind to slow down and also benefits the body and soul. Many famous actors, musicians, and comedians practice meditation. Most celebrities prefer Transcendental Meditation and some were even trained by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the man who developed the technique. Which famous celebrities meditate?

Katy Perry tops this list as the most famous person who meditates. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer told Marie Claire magazine, “I start the day with Transcendental Meditation. It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It’s the only time my mind gets absolute rest." Perry's ex-husband Russell Brand is a big supporter of meditation as well. He says, “I have become a better person through Transcendental Meditation.”

Paul McCartney, and the rest of the Beatles, studied meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s. In 2009, McCartney said, "In moments of madness, meditation has helped me find moments of serenity - and I would like to think that it would help provide young people a quiet haven in a not-so-quiet world. It was a great gift that Maharishi gave us."
