Mermaid Waves
The Look: Long, relaxed, imperfect waves.
How To: Part your hair down the middle and brush it. If you have curly hair, straighten it first to get a sleek, sultry look. Using a 1-inch curling iron, wrap 1-inch sections of hair around the outside of the curling iron. Hold the iron/rod horizontal and start by wrapping the hair under it (always start by wrapping under the iron, then around and around for this style). Allow the hair to twist as you’re wrapping. Pin up the sections of hair you’ve just curled to let them cool and set. After you’ve done this to your whole head, softly brush the curls. Use a flexible hair spray and/or a product that will give you some natural-looking shine.

Waterfall Braid
The Look: This crown-like braid wraps around the back of your head, leaving a classy yet casual way to wear your hair down while adding in a little extra flair.
How To: Your goal is to French Braid your hair from temple to temple without braiding the hair just above the forehead. Part your hair down the middle and start a loose french braid on one side. Braid in a french braid fashion, in a crown-like direction. Leave out every third section of the braid, so that that section visibly falls down into the rest of your hair, creating that waterfall-like illusion. Continue on with the french braid pattern, leaving out only the third segment of the braid each time.

Low Ponytail
The Look: A sleek and simple ponytail pulled tight at the nape of your neck.
(This looks works great with the deep side part or the part down the middle. It’s a great look if you’re feeling lazy, strapped for time, or if you’ve gone a few days without washing your hair.)
How To: Create your part and brush your hair flat against your scalp. Gather at the nape of your neck and tie the ponytail into a hair tie. Class it up a notch by wrapping a piece of hair around the base of the ponytail!
