Let's face it: some places are less desirable to live than others, especially in the United States. With a lot of people migrating towards major metropolitan cities, it makes states that don't have either a big city or are rural not desirable places to live. Weather also plays a big part in figuring out where the worst place to live is. Would you rather be living in the freezing cold with snow potentially coming down as late as April or would you rather be living it up on the beach all year round. All of these important factors go into deciding which of these places is the worst place to live in America.
There are some states on this list that are noticeable punching bags. For example, New Jersey, Ohio and Mississippi on here. Likewise with cold weather states like Minnesota and overly hot desert land like in Nevada. If the weather is too extreme in one direction or another, the state is likely to be on this list. The same goes for lesser populated states like North Dakota, South Dakota and Idaho.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide where is the worst place to live in the U.S. Each place may have it's merits and demerits, but one place has to be the worst place to live and it's on you to decide.
