This list of canceled shows we'd like to see as movies includes a lot of huge cult favorites. With the news that Veronica Mars might soon become a film (thanks to a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for it), many of us are no doubt considering which of our favorite shows we'd like to see on the big screen. Obviously this list isn't complete, so feel free to add any TV shows that aren't on the air anymore to it. Vote for your favorites and who knows? It just might happen someday.
So many canceled TV shows would make excellent movies. The possibilities are virtually endless, really. 'Veronica Mars' would certainly be wonderful, if done right, but so would a 'Freaks and Geeks' movie (if you could get all of the show's original stars back together for long enough to film it). And while 'Firefly' does already have one movie ('Serenity'), why not more? Arguments can certainly be made that shows like 'Roswell,' 'Pushing Daisies' and 'Chuck' would also be interesting films.
While J.J. Abrams has a lot going on right now, what with the whole 'Star Wars' and 'Star Trek' stuff, he could take a break from ruling the universe long enough to get a 'Fringe' movie going. And, while we're discussing the sci-fi stuff, why not bring 'Battlestar Galactica' to the big screen, too?
Keep in mind: Movies are expensive. Some of the stars of these shows became famous *because* of these shows (Jennifer Garner, as Sydney Bristow on 'Alias' comes to mind). They'll want to be paid the big bucks in any movie adaptation. That's where you come in. If you could help to bankroll any canceled TV show you loved, which one would you pick? Be careful, because there's no guarantee that any of these potential movie adaptations of television shows would be good. In fact, they could eventually wind up on this list of the worst movies based on TV shows, ever.
