Vote For Your Favorite Marvel Events of the Last Decade
With the announcement of details of Marvel's 2014 event "Original Sin," it comes time for reflection on Marvel's big books of this nature from the past. Here's a list of 10 notable event series from The House of Ideas from the last decade, and we'd like you to rank them!

Secret Invasion
Unbeknownst to everyone, the shapeshifting Skrulls have infiltrated the superhero community right under the nose of Iron Man, and now they've launched their full-scale invasion to try to take over the world!

Annihilation
A 2006 event that brought the cosmic Marvel universe to the forefront, when Annihilus led his Annihilation Wave from the Negative Zone in the attempt to destroy all life in the universe. This event led to the modern day Guardians of the Galaxy.

Age of Ultron
2013 Marvel series wherein Ultron from a potential future has wiped out humanity, and the only way to stop him seems to be to go back and time and kill Hank Pym before he invents Ultron in the first place. Time travel does not work out as planned, and a lasting effect is left on the Marvel Universe.

House of M
Marvel Comics event series from 2005 wherein The Scarlet Witch goes crazy and creates an alternate reality where mutants rule everything, which quickly unravels and prompts her to declare "No More Mutants."

Infinity
2013 Marvel series wherein the Avengers have to go into deep space to fight off The Builders, who were once a force for creation and have been corrupted toward destruction. Meanwhile, Thanos The Mad Titan invades Earth while they're gone to hunt down his son among the Inhumans and kill him.

Avengers Vs. X-Men
The Phoenix is coming, and in this 2012 event series, the Avengers and the X-Men go to war over who has the right idea of how to deal with it. 5 of the X-Men become possessed with the Phoenix Force - Cyclops, Emma Frost, Namor, Colossus and Magik - and try to build a new worldwide mutant utopia, while the Avengers resist.

World War Hulk
2007 Marvel Comics Event Series wherein the Hulk returns to Earth, furious at being exiled and losing his wife and unborn son on the distant planet of Sakaar during "Planet Hulk," and taking his anger out on the superheroes who sent him away.

Dark Reign/Siege
"Siege" was the Marvel Comics miniseries from 2010 wherein the Avengers lead a rebellion against the "Dark Reign" of Norman Osborn and his secret cabal of villains, which had been ongoing since 2009, in order to establish a new heroic age.

Fear Itself
2011 Marvel Comics Event Series wherein Odin's brother, called The Serpent, is reawakened, dropping evil hammers around the world that possess the wielders - such as the Thing, Juggernaut, Absorbing Man, Titania, and more - and wreak untold destruction, while the Red Skull's daughter Sin starts the Blitzkrieg U.S.A.

Marvel's Civil War
Marvel Comics event series from 2006-7 wherein superhumans were being forced to register with the government, and Captain America led an underground resistance against Iron Man's attempts to enforce the law.
