10 Bands in 2013 That I Like
Late Night Thoughts
http://www.ranker.com/list/10-bands-in-2013-that-i-like/squaak,

Courtney Barnett - Avant Gardener
From Melbourne, her lyrics are so good, I'd she's writing like Dylan, did I just say that...I can not wait to catch her show next year at the Rickshaw Stop
Ejecta - It's Only Love
Leanne Macomber of Neon Indian is lead in this her side project with John Ford of Tigercity. I suppose I hear 80's syn's and all but jez, it never sounded this good.
You, Me & Us - Paperweights
I loooove Carlee Hendrix's voice, that alone would be great, but her jangling guitar that is sublimely modulated is like a rocket ship perpetually readying for takeoff. Sorry for crappy vid, need to listen to EP
Mausi - Move
Italians, yup, Daisy Finetto is all about design, sound, visual, if you look up bio on Mausi, it takes you to their Tumbler page full of cool images. She creates look books for music inspiration.
Felix Cartal - "New Scene" Ft. Ofelia
Well I guess Felix is not technically a band, but rather a DJ that got Ofelia to lend vocals, Her music is super rad also.
Cuushe - 'I Love You'
Cuushe is Mayuko Hitosuynagi creating music in Japan. Sounds that seem to start in a part of a dream with no plot, that then snaps into focus with a story, she fearlessly lets the music develop, I'll aways buy that ticket.
Garbage Heart by Giant Drag
I fell in love with Annie Hardy 4 or 5 years ago her debut album "Hearts and Unicorns" was so kick ass straight up riot grrrl fem rock from the heart with a twisted humor wow. Then she sort of went under the radar, with some pills and shit, fuck, so flash forward to now and it's like she never left, thank the holy mailman. Still in luv...
Alpine - Gasoline
Holy Crap another Aussi band. Music with so many layers, with the vocals of Phoebe Baker and Lou James as the main instrument, wow, just wow.
Field Mouse - Tomorrow Is Yesterday
Field Mouse is so tapped into the part of my brain waves that say this shit is soooo good. I'm too old for drugs so I have Rachel Browne for now with Andrew Futral on I can make this guitar do anything in my ear hole. (Oh I got to see them finally)
Well I could list more bands I've enjoyed but this is a fine list for now.
Skating Polly - Lost Wonderfuls
Step sisters from OK city Oklahoma, they are young, obviously, but they have it in spades, it being talent of course. They met Exene Cervenka (of the band X) and told her about their music and later played some tunes for her over the telephone which led to Exene producing their first LP. They know more about hip underground music history than I ever knew, Anywho, I saw them play this summer and they were electrifying with energy and music.
