Celebrity Weddings 2013: List of Famous Marriages
Celebrity weddings in 2013 promised all of the glitz and glamor that the rich and famous enjoyed on their biggest day. Famous people meet, they fall in love, they get married -- and of course, they also get divorced, but this list celebrates the weddings, not the splits. Each year, without fail, celebs get hitched, and they make headlines doing it. Behold, the famous actors, actresses, musicians and sports figures who decided to say their vows in 2013!

Celebrity weddings started out rather slowly in early 2013, with news that rapper Wiz Khalifa and his very pregnant girlfriend, Amber Rose, had decided to tie the knot. Details about the ceremony, including the when and where, weren't immediately available.

In terms of what was expected to happen, several high profile celebrities did announce their engagements in January of 2013, including lovebirds Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. The world simply will explode when these beautiful women walk down the aisle!! Other high profile celebrity engagements include Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, Keira Knightley and James Righton and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Will they all wed in 2013? Shooter Jennings and Misty Brooke Swain
Shooter Jennings and his fiancee, Misty Brooke Swain, were married on June 4, 2013, in a ceremony held in Joshua Tree, California. The couple chose a unique setting for their wedding, which featured music by the groom's father (the late, legendary country singer Waylon Jennings).

Swain wore a traditional A-line, white wedding gown with a chapel-length train and Jennings wore a "custom black rose shirt" that was originally designed for his godfather - Johnny Cash.At the reception, guests noshed on a wedding cake designed with a 'Dukes of Hazzard' theme, complete with a replica of the General Lee car on top!

Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha
Actress Kerry Washington married NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24, 2013. To say the nuptials were low key would be a huge understatement: Word about the wedding didn't even get out until July 4, 2013. The pair dated for about a year before saying their "I Dos" in a small ceremony in Hailey, Idaho. This is Kerry Washington's first marriage.
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger
Singers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger were married on July 1, 2013. The rockers said their "I dos" in a ceremony held in the South of France. Both Lavigne and Kroeger are Canadian, and they chose July 1 - Canada Day - because it is the day they began dating. This was Kroeger's first marriage, and the second for Lavigne, who was married for three years to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger exchanged their vows at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu, Frances. According to reports, some 50 guests were in attendance for the ceremony, which was followed by a huge reception that went on until the wee hours of the morning. One report even says the wedding guests were treated to an elaborate fireworks display that evening. Lavigne opted for a stunning black wedding gown designed by Monique Lhuillier. She carried a matching bouquet of jet roses, as well.

John Barrowman and Scott Gill
Actor John Barrowman and his partner of 20 years, Scott Gill, were married on July 2, 2013, in California. Barrowman, who starred on Doctor Who and Torchwood, posted a video clip on WhoSay in which he and Gill announce they're headed to get married. Barrowman then thanks the U.S. Supreme Court (which overturned the Defense of Marriage Act on June 26) for allowing them to make things legal.
NeNe Leakes and Gregg Leakes
Reality TV star and actress NeNe Leakes ('Real Housewives of Atlanta') and her ex-husband, Gregg Leakes, decided to give things another try. On Saturday, June 22, 2013, the couple, who divorced back in 2011, remarried in Georgia. The Leakes' got back together during season five of 'RHOA' and are now, once again, newlyweds.

NeNe Leakes went all out for her second wedding to her husband, saying her vows in what's described as a "lavish, old Hollywood-style" wedding in Atlanta. Guests included several of Leakes' 'Real Housewives' cast mates, along with Patti Stanger, Jill Zarin and Marysol Patton. And yes, the wedding will be included on a Bravo show called 'I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.'

George Lucas and Mellody Hobson
George Lucas married his longtime girlfriend, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, in a June 22, 2013, ceremony in Marin County, California (home of Lucas' Skywalker Ranch). This is the first marriage for Hobson, who met the 'Star Wars' creator during a business conference in 2006. The couple got engaged in January of 2013. This is George Lucas' second marriage - he was married to film editor Maria Lucas for 14 years (they have three children and split in 1983).
Jimmy Kimmell and Molly McNearney
Late night talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmell and his longtime girlfriend, Molly McNearney, got married on Saturday, July 13, 2013, in a ceremony held in Ojai, California.

People magazine had all the scoop about the wedding, including a gorgeous photo of the bride and groom. Molly McNearney looks radiant in a strapless white wedding gown with a stunning summer flower bouquet, as she stands next to her groom, Jimmy Kimmell, who's wearing a classic tuxedo.

 And just in case you were wondering: Matt Damon was indeed at the wedding, along with a host of other celebrities.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa
Word that model Amber Rose and her fiance, rapper Wiz Khalifa, had gotten married first surfaced in mid-January of 2013. The couple got engaged in 2012, and they were expecting a baby as well. In July of 2013, the couple, who welcomed son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz in February, made things official: They were married. Both announced the happy news on Twitter.

As for a huge wedding, that was planned for the fall of 2013.


Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez
Actress Halle Berry and actor Oliver Martinez were married on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Berry's ceremony was held at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France, with the couple saying vows before about 60 people. And yes, Berry's daughter Nahla, was in France, presumably for the wedding.

Details, including the deets on Halle Berry's wedding dress, weren't immediately available, but reports do say that guests enjoyed a lovely wedding dinner after the 4 p.m. civil ceremony. That dinner also featured dancing and, later, a fireworks display!

Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez met in 2010 and got engaged in 2012. They are expecting their first child together (a baby boy) in the fall of 2013.

Elisha Cuthbert and Dion Phaneuf
Actress Elisha Cuthbert ('Happy Endings') married her longtime boyfriend, hockey player Dion Phaneuf, on July 6, 2013. The couple's elaborate wedding was held at Prince Edward Island, with the ceremony at St. James Catholic Church in Summerfield and a reception following for some 300 guests.

Cuthbert wore a stunning white gown with lace and beading embellishments. She carried a summery bouquet that featured blush roses, and she wore her blonde hair down, loose and flowing. Cuthbert's bridesmaids wore "pale pink fishtail gowns." Oh, and the church was decorated with maple leafs (Phaneuf is the captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs).
